I thought this performance was absolutely spectacular. While I do agree, to an extent, that she wants to distance herself from the image she once built, I absolutely still believe that she has the same artistic and creative abilities that she once had. The setup, the transition from the acoustic to the upbeat/tempo pop song, the outfit, the choreography (granted, it was still the same), the lighting, the special effects, the backdrop, the use of the entire arena, the outfit, all of it was amazing! She incorporated technology, art, and fashion all into one cohesive performance. It's one of the best performances of the night. She kept it too tame and it didn't show America what she can do. The usual live performance with the high notes is so much better. This performance was extremely underwhelming. I'm disappointed.
