ok i'll admit that list isn't the best representation. But saying a Gaga song is bigger than a song released before the 21st century is kind of obvious

Greatest-Hot 100-Singles by Billboard is irrelevant 

It only records the chart runs of the singles on the Hot 100. And Hot 100 has a rule of after certain weeks in the Top 50, it cannot chart in the Hot 100 in the period. 

Thus, BR, PF and JD have sold more than you can imagine. Just because they weren't charting on the Hot 100 doesn't mean they aren't selling. In fact Gaga's singles almost have average Hot 100 runs, but they are among the best-selling songs ever.

I was actually agreeing with your point but this is ridiculous. These songs are extremely famous. Especially Nothing Compares 2 U is definitely more popular than Gaga's singles.
