Biagio2103

I love Kesha since 2010, and I think Rainbow is such a great album. However, I don't think she'll get any other nomination except for BPVA. Usually it takes time for the Academy to process these changes from the artists, and Kesha was never nominated for her previous three albums, so because she has no backup and she hasn't been that huge on the charts, I don't feel like they'll consider her as a major female por nominations this year. Lorde, on the other hand, could easily earn some nominations because she's already won twice incluiding a Big Four, so the Academy crearly knows her, and despite the lack of success from Melodrama, the album had rave critics.

These two and Gaga are surely going to be nominated for BPVA, thanks to the lack of candidates this year.

I'm honestly afraid of Million Reasons going against Praying in SOTY..

cause yeah maybe MR sold bigger and peaked higher. but Praying got the sexual assault hype and it is still growing in radio with 90M audience during the grammy noms period and maybe til the voting period :selena:

Beyonce haven't had one WW hit since Telphone and she still has her Worldwide stadium tour going. Rihanna had Work smashing everywhere but her tour was tragic (compares to Bey). :selena:

Fair point but Rihanna was never a strong live performer/tour force

 consider these:

imagine if Gaga is invited to do Coachella again or Glastonbury or RiR. I can guarantee i would know at least 6 songs she will automatically play. We know the crowd goes dead during deep cuts and only livens up during the smash hits they would know. Ive also seen this first hand in the JWT. The GP became interested in her thanks to the Superbowl but that can't keep Gaga floating forever. They went in to see her but that doesn't mean they suddenly know her album tracks. It's sad seeing the GP not knowing how to appreciate bangers like PI, shake their ****ing hips to DIC, not matching the high motown energy of A-Yo, etc and stand up only for the same songs they know over and over. PF, BR, JD, Telephone, etc. Her concerts can't always be a "Greatest Hits-lite". Didn't monsters hate the idea of Gaga being called a "legacy/nostalgia act"? Getting a few moderate hits in the future will help repel that. And notice I'm saying "moderate" and not "#1 for a year mega smash" hit.

For her to pull a Beyonce, Gaga's album needs to sell at least 2x better than Joanne did

@Gagaloo92 i meant to quote your reply as well but im on mobile so im just going to tag you

As I said above, having medium sized hits would help her. I'm not saying she should sell out or switch to focusing on singles instead of making her album stronger as a whole. I just meant they need to plan the next era carefully without the single switching mess and proper promo roll out and not waiting weeks before the MV and no spotify support along with radio and discount to at least maximize the impact of her next singles.

She's gonna still have multiple moderate hits so we shouldn't be worried. ASIB will definitely have a hit single and LG6's lead will be a hit if it's a return to modern pop :firega:

Honestly, this is is so very true. Those fans that believe Gaga can keep on going and selling tours in the coming years without any further hits or big album sales are about to be disappointed, to say the least. That is unless Gaga changes something. I kinda don't mind. She's been on the top already, now she's just maintaining her star power by doing all the things she's doing.

I will be happy with 1 nomination. 5 is a reach. Like you said, 4 if we are LUCKY. I am expecting 1-2 nominations. I mean, if BTW era only got 3...

I think she wont win but a nomination is a win for me alredy :)

Well, both leads have to be bigger than her last three singles - PI/MR/TC.
