There have never been fanboys lining up outside of a car shop to preorder a car (Model 3) like it's some apple product in the history of car sales. People literally pre-ordered the Model 3 without even seeing it and knowing its full features. I would say for being a brand new player in a very old market with an entirely new system. They are doing extremely well. They will lower pollution and they are getting better but for the moment theres a couple of hurdels stopping me. 1. Either way i wont have easy access to a garage to charge it at home like someone that owns their own house and their garage is there... I do not want to travel for several KM every week to get to nearest charging station and waste 45-60 minutes to wait for it to charge These are problems that will ease with time. A third issue i used to have was battery life per trip, now they last long enough that it isnt a factor anymore. Their costs keep falling and over time more charging infrastructure would be built. I cant wait the day when they release a car that has solar technology build directly under the paint.. obviously hurdles there. but that would greatly improve daytime driving and even on into the night.. Tho electric cars may help, environmentalists as usual kinda dont seem to put focus on the most productive things The make huge deals put of gas cars going electric or trying to stop every pipeline from beinfb built that results in oil just being moved by train anyway... In the mean time we have things that pollute way more like Coal Power Plants or methaine producing industries (Cow Dairy is underestimated by most on how much of a culprit it is) Theres an economic cost to going green and we cant fix everything at once and I find people who want to figjt for environment jeed to educate themselves more to understand what will actually make a difference. Cars going electric is fine, ill even buy one in a few years when the hurdles I talked about get better... But u hardly see smoke come out of modern cars anymore with their fuel efficiency and filtration systems... stuff like stopping pipelines only increases cost of production a little by making alternatives more expensive to move product In the meantime u have things that are way more toxic for green house effect. Coal for Example is up to 60% more toxic than oil and 100% more toxic than Natural gas to produce the same amount of energy. Why do Coal Plants exist at all anymore period? Thats one example of something we have easy alternatives for that would make a big difference. How do we curb methaine production in agriculture which is worse than CO2 for greenhouse effect? To balance environemnt and economy we should look at things that accomplish most greenhouse reduction for each dollar spent and people arent doing that... What u have is environmentalists jumping on issues without going deep enough into what makes a big difference and doesnt, and u have other extreme, the politicians who dont care to do anything the moment theres a cost There needs to be more understanding, co-operation, and priority making and thats not happening enough 👀 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Its ideology of power consumption as a whole. He doesn't just produce vehicles.. His Solar production plans and solar panels for homes and business could reshape the way we power our every day lives.. When you start cutting into the electric market of every day living you will hurt and slow down those toxic industries such as coal.. And the livestock industry isnt really underestimated here in the US anymore. But tough chance getting the US to give up meat lmao.. Im just saying thats an industry that will take Generations to come to curb. I mean im a big fan of soy products and alternative meats. Most taste really good. But thats just not a market thats going to slow at least on our end.. Side joke.. If only there was away we could harness the natural cow powered gas...
