If any one missed it, awhile back a group of people decided that a new space born nation was to be created, This nation would be called Asgardia. Yes this seems a far reach for scifi hopefuls. But they are taking it very seriously. On Nov 12th, 2017 Asgardia officially launched our first satellite into space via a NASA transport. This is huge! Is it a permanent sustainable base? No.. Obviously. But its the first step. A major leap into the beyond. We are the first to consider ourselves officially a Space nation. I am so happy that i joined Asgardia months ago as a fun little thing that i could go around saying hey look I'm from space.. Well Turns out they were more serious then i was by a long ****.. There is a definite government structure. You can vote on your elected officials as well as nominate yourself. I know this seems lame.. But this really is a big Societal leap.
