GAGA X TUDOR Hints at a New Era

Ok I was stalking Gaga's twitter and I noticed the HUGE "Born To Dare" header... its wierd that she's advertising the watch campaign to the point where her prof pic AND Cover photo feature it.... so here's my theory.

So this isn't what you guys are probably expecting, that LG6 will be Lady clashing with Gaga like she did in the commercial. I wanna talk about WHY gaga did the commercial. Gaga always talked about how she doesn't wanna be a money making machine. When I saw the Tiffany x Gaga commercial, I didnt think much of it - Tiffany's is well known in New York (I think?) and is overall a well known "classic" brand and I feel like Gaga would gladly take that opportunity. 

However, looking at the Tudor ads on Gaga's twitter made me question WHY she took this opportunity to sponsor them. Tudor isnt really as "classic" as Tiffany's so I dont think she would advertise for them for anything besides money, and its clear in the advertisements that they are using Gaga's image to promote their brand (she has the superbowl eye pieces and looks way more Gaga than in the Tiffany's commercial). Futhrermore its her twitter profile pic AND header and she has tweeted about it many times.

So it got me thinking.... she probably got paid a LOT for sponsoring them. And it makes me remember her early music videos, where she put product placements in exchange for a higher budget for the videos. For example, telephone had Virgin mobile, and a bunch of other products like Beats and that Vodka brand in Bad Romance. So maybe she is using the money from these advertising campaigns to pull off a bigger than normal budget video for the LG6 lead single. 

Is it a reach? Thoughts???  i mean, why else would she feel the need to sponsor TUDOR?

jokes aside i do think there is a greater purpose behind the campaign, bc why would gaga be so obsessed with a seemingly basic watch

although i'm not sure if the purpose is exactly to "[use] the money from these advertising campaigns to pull off a bigger than normal budget video"

i dont think gaga will include brands in her videos anymore , artist only do that when they first start off and need money to get their vision right but she's deep up in the f*cking game she dont need endorsements for vids. 

if anything shes helping out that brand by slapping her name on it  ARTPOP.gif

I think it's simply she's contractually obligated to promote the brand... :shrug:

No she is just obligated to promote it via her social media as part of the deal.

 

Will be talking yet again next time she releases another abomination aka MR video and ask you were that budget went to. :nails:

sksksksksks inb4 she will only releasing a new song for one off TUDOR jingle/theme and also released as full song too, just like those Japanese and Korean artists does so many times. Oh the meltdown will be glorious :giggle:

Nah, she’s just cementing her legacy. She was the first woman ever to represent Tudor. And I‎t was probably in her contract to use her social platforms to promote it.

 

She likes being the “first woman” to do something. Look at her headlining Wrigley and Fenway.
