It's ridiculous all these alternative lifestyles are so left field and put such a burden on the average individual and if you aren't "educated" in how to interact with them you're called ignorant, bigot, homophobe, hater, etc...

The whole facebook 50 gender stunt was a mess...

Meh- Its okay I guess... but I dont want more here....this 2000 gender thing goes into a ridiculous direction. The pronounciation, beeing offended easily, talking bout not having freedom.. People just create circels arround themselfves and give those names. At a certain point its enough. This grouping is also showing :       Im one of my people; not yours!

Third Gender? okay I guess, for all those in between or somewhere else. But Im kinda against more..and also specialized bathrooms. Im for more tolerance in gerneral. Which in my opinion should not be achived by exstracting human into groups but rather through a progress of time, understanding and acceptance at this point...(which of course is ignorant to say if there is physical abuse; also verbal--> I can shake that off though)

Happy for those who feel better with this- really, like I said, its a good thing. But I just think we need to stop somewhere...Or we will do a bigger border by ourselves between everybody.

I dont have a problem to call people how they want to be called. It just gets on my nerves how offended some people get-but maybe thats just my experience....I met many people who had rules for me before I could talk to them.

They second side is that those "Gender-offender" also tried to put me into a box. " You are genderfluid ! AND blablabla" and I just was like "bitch im what the **** I want- I dont have names for it, im just me"

nowadays, no one will really think you're gay if you don't like sports but you'll always have a hard time convincing someone you only like girls if you got yourself boobs and a big butt. that's hormonally impossible.

you're either a heterosexual or a heteronormative/genderqueer homosexual/bisexual. if you're homosexual and transition to the opposite gender we can pretend you're heterosexual but we can't win a fight for ultimate acceptance with words. self-acceptance should come first. the only thing that ever delayed the sexual revolution is internalized homophobia.

As long as it's not your problem, it's no problem at all? Why do you all feel the urge to comment on other peoples rights that don't concern you? What's with all of you having no empathy for other people whatsoever?

I think it's a mistake to associate gender queer people with those types of ideas and opinions. Not every queer person has a victim complex or thinks the world should bend to their whim. Most people are happy enough to just not be ostracized or physically harmed for being who they are and will politely correct you rather than getting angry if they feel like they're speaking to someone open minded  Like you said, tolerance is enough and that can also take form in legislation that allows people to be recognized legally for how they view themselves. A very select, but unfortunately vocal and over exposed few have given the majority a bad name by being rude, even arrogant when it comes to something like this. It's like calling feminists "man hating hags" or something just because an extremely small percentage of feminists actually view men as inferior or as an issue at all when it's simply misogynistic thoughts held by both men, women, and the technicolor rainbow inbetween that's the issue.

And "2000 genders"? There's no real number for it. It's just individual people who don't feel they align with the societal definition of "male" or "female" so they find terms that help convey their identity and how they view themselves to others, that's all.

I haven't seen a call for specialized bathrooms either  Really, I think three is fine. "Men", "women", and a "family" bathroom for parents to take their kids into and for people who don't feel comfortable using the other two. Though I've always found segregated bathrooms pointless

Finally, if I'm understanding you correctly, I don't think this is done with any intention to cause a larger divide. Labels are pointless sometimes but they do allow for individuals to have some sense of identity and uniqueness. If labels were seen as, idk, name tags that say "Hi, I'm ___, nice to meet you " instead of borders, I think that'd be a much better way to tear down the walls people build around themselves rather than restricting their right to call themselves whatever they want to be called.

Eh, give 'em patience. Even if they don't personally come around, progress has no "reverse" on it.

People said the same kind of stuff when PoC wanted to be freed from slavery, when women wanted to vote, and when gays wanted to enjoy the same freedoms as heteros. And yet here we are today

Someone's gender is simply how they describe/identify themselves in relation to the gender binary of male/female. I think it's great that we've reached a point in society where countries are now learning to legislate while respecting the individual identities of their citizens  First race broke through, then sexuality, now gender is the next great conquest for equality and acceptance. It's a beautiful thing and a sign of great things to come.

it's called sexual orientation and sexual indentity 

i don't have problem with it,honestly, i love diversity.

I,personally,think there are 4 genders:

-male(with male genitalia)

-female(with female genitalia)

-hermaphrodite (with both genitalias)

-the one who has no genitalia

Sexual orientation is what you are attracted to,i don't wanna mention all,because there are alot

India also recognize third-gender (as in intersex)even though homosexuality is BANNED here
