Reputation may not be released on Spotify/Apple Music it's first week

Taylor Swift may not release her long awaited album on Spotify, Apple Music or Tidal it's first week. "...as the release date for “Reputation” approached, four executives at major streaming services said they did not expect the album to be made available for streaming, at least at first. But those executives, who spoke anonymously to protect private negotiations, said that plans could change at any time. (New York Times)"

"By most analyses, these have been financial calculations: It would take 150 streams of every song on a 10-track album to equal the revenue of a single CD sale, according to standard industry estimates." 

This would definitely be a disappointment for Taylor Swift fans who rely on Spotify and Apple Music for their music needs. This isn't all too shocking though considering her past history with music streaming services. However, when 1989 was released, streaming wasn't nearly as popular as it is now. 

The last time this was attempted was Adele's 25 which was a huge hit globally with record album sales. 

So what do you all think about this choice?  Will this bold move be a success or a failure for Taylor?

annoying, i've started using spotify to hear albums before i decide buying them or not

Wow only music I purchase is Gaga’s.

I stream everything else. All others who force me to buy their stuff (BeyonceTaylor)usually just end up with another illegal download in the basket which results in no streams or sales.
