ACLU is coming for ha :gum:

http://variety.com/2017/music/news/taylor-swift-lawsuit-aclu-1202607965/

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is challenging lawsuit threats made by Taylor Swift and her lawyer against a Northern California blogger.

The letter takes subtle jabs at some of Swift’s lyrics, saying that “criticism is never pleasant, but a celebrity has to shake it off, even if the critique may damage her reputation,” and that “applying these fundamental constitutional principles to your four ‘hideous falsehoods’ shows that not even in your wildest dreams can they constitute defamation.”

Get ha :lolly:

On a serious note, what the hell was she thinking trying to sue a company for simply stating that neo-nazis and white-supremacists use her as their white icon while she remains silent about it. Like, girl, you’d sue a company for pointing out facts, but won’t denounce literal nazis and white supremacists who use your image for their own gain??

Talk about reputation... :toofunny:

This sounds like those corny youtube comments that forces song titles into a sentence.

"Gaga went on a Bad Romance with Alejandro and they had Telephone sex while Dancing in the Dark and made her So Happy She Could Die and Speechless, grinding her Teeth" teas

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Excuse you but this doesn't change the fact that you don't just get to use intimidation tactics in the form of a threat of a lawsuit over a piece you don't like.

That is Donald Trump kinda teas and completely flies in the face of a concept like a free press and democracy.

Naw it’s been a thing WAY before “SJWs” got ahold of it.

I mean... literal neo-nazis have been claiming her as their “Aryan princess” since like 2016. She IS technically an icon for neo-nazis and white supremacists at this point.

I like Taylor but it’s disappointing that she hasn’t denounced the alt-right yet. If I were her I’d be suing the Breitbart or The Daily Stormer employees that connect her to this rather than the article who is calling it out.

I wonder if, with this new accusations, she will portrait herself as a nazi in her next video.
