Economy 52,844
http://www.bnn.ca/the-wheels-aren-t-falling-off-as-canada-adds-35-300-jobs-in-october-1.904782 Canada added 88,7000 full-time jobs in October. Relative to population that is like the USA adding 800,000 in a month! Part-Times were down offsetting some of the gains in full-time but even so, on a net basis 35,300 jobs were added over-all which is still an extremely solid number! This is despite slowing construction and slowing housing market. Experts warn Canada isnt out of the woods yet of a potential recession as home prices still need to fall a lot further and construction needs to drop some more on top of stubbornly high consumer debt
Edonis 28,974
Personal rant time. Toronto needs to lower their damn condo prices my BF and I were looking at housing prices again for when we move in together/I get my PhD/work stuff (as if they’ve gone down in the past year or something ) and they’re still ridiculously overpriced. It’s absurd. And I don’t want to live in Mississauga or Brampton (my BF’s from Brampton actually). I want to be a spoiled brat and live in the big city again Plus that’s where all of my family and friends in Canada live. I’m so irked

I’m so irked The consistant monthly drop that started in April (already down almost 20% in just 6 months) in the over-all housing market has so far been in homes only Condo prices have not dropped at all yet in fact they are still rising PS: im also from Brampton like your bf. They have several new condos planned on Queen ST! If i dont move out of Brampton i might buy one of those!

Ridiculous But I’ll probably check out the Queen street condos that are in planned development. We almost signed One a few months ago but the area was far from our planned commutes/schools so we backed out of it. Sigh. Hopefully something new comes up

I’m going to alert my BF soon 😩😩😩 Within 10 years Brampton might surpass Mississauga in population too Brampton is past 600,000 and Mississauga has been pretty flat around 800,000 with slow growth Brampton is growing about 20,000 a year so... Within a Decade or so Brampton will become 2nd largest city in Toronto area next to Toronto itself 😎

He lived there for most of his life (before he found work and traveled between Canada and the States) and noticed how much more, congested Brampton seems to feel now? There’s definitely an observed city growth and I wouldn’t be surprised if it passes Mississauga in population
