I'm not under his insurance. Yeah, I'm in a little bit of a rough spot because I don't have a job at the moment, but that's my responsibility and my problem.

If he has insurance, you are under his insurance, unless for some strange reason he doesn't count you as a dependent on his taxes.

So...you don't have a job and your Dad doesn't count you as a dependent (for some reason). What happens if you have an emergency? Who pays for your hospital bills? If your appendix rupture, do you just die because you don't have insurance? What if someone shots you and your hospital bill is hundreds of thousands of dollars? Who pays for that bill?

I disagree, I'm sorry.

You can disagree all you want, it doesn't make it true.

I think I'd just die, actually, lol.

No, you would end up in an emergency room and taxpayers would pay for you to live. Does your Dad not have a job either? How do you have shelter and eat?

Please, I really don't want to discuss this. My boyfriend has excellent insurance through his job and if need be, he'll put me on it.

You want to talk about economics and "the left", but you don't want to discuss that you benefit from policies from the left.

He can't put you on his insurance, not unless you are married. (Which sure as hell wouldn't be possible without the left, btw) You have to be a dependent or married. "If need be"? Insurance isn't retroactive! You don't get added on AFTER you have an emergency procedure!

You either get a job and get insurance or you sponge off the government.

I didn't vote in the last election because I was in the middle of getting my name and legal documents changed. I wasn't going to register under my old name, I had a big problem with that. Like it would have made a difference in New York anyway, the leftist paradise that it is.

I pass as a biological woman and I don't plan on joining the military, trans laws don't affect me. Pretty much all of my documents are changed, it is in no way verifiable by legal document that I'm trans. Stop with the identity politics bro.

What a deplorable thought process

Who cares as long as the laws don't affect me, right?

It's not about identity politics, it's about creating a system that looks out for the most vulnerable and marginalized among us.

I don't like anti-trans laws. You're trying to pin me to hypocrisy by talking about how I support these laws that affect me. They don't affect me, and I don't support them. Just because I'm trans doesn't mean I have to be a liberal. You can't STAND that I have opposing beliefs. All this from a former Trumpboy.

"Anyways, I'm gonna make this one short. My gender therapist said that right after I turn 18 (9/11), she's going to prescribe me the starting dose of my hormones (estradiol and spironolactone). Then in October, because of my age and low risk to health issues because of the medication, she's going to up it to a full dose and see what happens from there. These hormones are covered by my insurance entirely."

Your Dad is on disability and/or Medicaid. (or ACA) That's how you had insurance at 17 and 18. Your hormones, blood tests and gender therapist was paid by taxpayers, just like would happen if you were to be shot by one of those guns you are so fond of.

I pay tax dollars every week, and have done so since I was 16, for people to be on disability, to have health insurance, to have access to emergency services.

I only had insurance for two years. I didn't even use it until I turned 18, and shortly after it was taken away from me. My boyfriend has paid for my hormones since. I don't agree with having insurance if you didn't pay into it. I don't think the $20 or whatever the first month of hormones cost hurt the taxpayers much. I've certainly raised more for my community through fundraising than I took from them.

You had insurance for two years through the government. Your insurance can't be taken away. If you don't have a job, you qualify for insurance. You would use the services if you got into an accident or had an emergency. Your blood work, "renowned" therapist and hormones cost way more than $20. That was your measly co-pay. Taxpayers picked up the rest.

Taxpayers pay for clean air, your K-12 education, your health insurance, police and fire services, military and security, medical research, and Infrastructure which includes the road system, electricity, gas and water lines, sewers, public parks and libraries. You've taken out WAY more than you have put in!
