Morphine Prince 109,645
Starting in early 2018, women will be allowed into three arenas in major cities, according to a statement issued Sunday by the General Sport Authority, the country's governing body for sports. The previously male-only venues of King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh, King Abdullah Sport City in Jeddah, and Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam will begin preparations to "accommodate families," the statement said. Specific seating arrangements are unclear at the moment; Saudi men and women are customarily separated in places where they are both allowed.

Yea no up until 2012 we were just stuck in ****. 2012 came and we slowly started moving towards modernization, but then the new crown prince (formerly deputy crown prince from 2015-this June) has been catapulting us towards...2017
tthen 4,621
I've never really been to the stadium except maybe once though (Riyadh) so won't really affect me (and I'm male anyways ), but I know many female football fans who're gonna be ecstatic

Saudi Arabia is literally next door (from the UAE) and I never knew women couldn't attend stadiums. I didn't even know y'all didn't have cinemas before But thankfully things are changing and SA is picking up pace in progressiveness. I'm looking forward to how it'll look like years from now (as well as other Arab and Mid-Eastern countries).

The cinema thing is ending too (first cinemas since the 70s are supposed to open soon). Lots of the ultra conservatives are having a meltdown, but they had the same exact reaction when phones or cameras were first introduced.
