Not from 30 years ago -- statute of limitations and since he didn't actually "do" anything, I'm not sure a judge would find him guilty. What he did was very innappropriate and I'm sure it didn't just happen that one time...but all Spacey did to Rapp was harass him drunkenly and briefly. The main issue is that Rapp was 14. (But also...why was a 14-year-old at a Hollywood party without his parents?)

People are throwing "sexual assualt" everywhere around nowadays -- he might have drunkenly layed on Rapp, but he never actually assaulted him. I'm not defending him at all...just weird that everyone is jumping to HE SEXUALLY ASSAULTED A KID -- no, he got drunk and acted inappropriately with a kid who shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Though I don't think he will be charged with anything, since from what I gather he only drunkenly propositioned him, but didn't carry anything out. Obviously still disgusting and awful since he was 14 and he was 26 (  ) but.. That and probably statue of limitations?

I want to hear more from Rapp and how this affected him... And I guess we will see if others come forward with "hey this happened to me too!" soon

Exactly. Am I the only one who sees this as "yes, Kevin Spacey should never touch a minor, but why is said minor making a big deal about it 30 YEARS LATER when all he did was lay on him"? Spacey did nothing sexual with Rapp but everyone is reporting it like he did. If Rapp had said "Spacey is a pedophile and he's assaulted several minors" that would be different -- instead, to me, Rapp basically went to a party he shouldn't have been at at got layed on by Spacey. Now he wants a #metoo story, and will destroy Spacey's career in the process. 

I'm straight and young, and I've been to goth clubs in hollywood were drunken gay men have groped me -- it's happened twice now -- should I wait 30 years and then report these men? No, those men were drunk and I brushed them off and walked away. One guy did once grab me hard and kind of leave me feeling strange, but i can't imagine a situation where thirty years later, I need to go to ****ing Buzzfeed to report it...

And its entirely annoying to see everyone in this thread crucifying Spacey because of an allegation that in no way was sexual assault, and of all places that this man chooses to go to to tell his story, was Buzzfeed, a tabloid publication in which you can take quizzes to determine what kind of bread you are.

It does worry me that he was 14 -- who knows if Spacey hit on/harassed any other minors -- but it was very strange to go from Harvey Weinstein, a serial rapist who raped and assaulted and harassed and blackmailed countless women, to Spacey, getting treated the same when he may/may not have grabbed a kid at a party once thirty years ago.

See, when I went and read the original story, I didn't even think sexual assault when going through it. To me, my initial reaction was that a drunken Kevin Spacey saw a 14 year old late at night and probably was trying to put him to bed, and then KEvin drunkenly collapsed on him and was trying to get up. 

You'll note that the "sexual" aspects were more insinuations and just a odd way to describe it.

He picked me up like a bride? People pick people up like that all the time, are you kidding? Theres nothing sexual about that.

He was trying to seduce me....r u srs? How would a 14 year old know about seduction, let alone think that a man drunkenly falling on you is a seduction attempt?

I do not condone sexual assault (or assault for that matter, peace and love yall), but I watch entirely too much SVU to understand people make fake claims as well. 

This just smells fishy. Who knows what actually happened. People on both sides have a voice, lets not crucify Kevin Spacey over something that sounds like a misunderstanding at best.

As someone who works in the industry, it's even more maddening that people like Bryan Singer walk freely but everyone is persecuting Spacey. Singer, openly gay, assaults/rapes several minors but settles in court. Goes on to make another X-Men movie. Spacey, discreet, does something inappropriate in 1986 and gets his career ruined in 2017. Wow. 

For all of you crying "SEXUAL ASSAULT!!!!": Netflix just cancelled House of Cards today because of this situation, meaning that HUNDREDS of people -- cast and crew -- are now out of a job. Without any evidence whatsoever, the internet made this into a witch hunt right away. Netflix's stock will go down, actors lose income, crew no longer has steady work...

But sure. Rapp's feelings are more important, 30 years later.

I do agree it's incredibly odd why Rapp came out with this story 30 years later, and the highlight is he felt sexually harassed. And Kevin Spacey shouldn't be burned at the stake for this now. Why didn't Rapp reach out to Spacey to talk about this. Why did he have to go to the media to talk about this, why couldn't he say it to Spacey's face? Or email, or phone call? Or have his agent or lawyer reach out to Spacey's people.

It is inexcusable that he decided to come out as gay during this fiasco. This only perpetuates the stereotype that gays are pedophiles. I don't think it'll set us back, but it does reinforce these stereotypes.

There's a very distinct difference between Buzzfeed News and Buzzfeed. The money made off Buzzfeed's clickbait quizzes fund the actual reporting and journalism they do on Buzzfeed News. I'm not fond of Buzzfeed either but to disregard Buzzfeed News in its entirety because of a separate site is unjust, they've done some amazing investigative pieces. To brush this one specific article off as a tabloid newspaper is disregarding the importance of original pieces like this:
