Kevin Spacey responds to allegations + comes out as gay

First Harvey Weinstein, now Kevin Spacey(although we are not sure if he realy abused anybody), who's next?....... Hollywood hides A LOT of dark secrets that are yet to be revealed. It's scary to think how many kids and woman(man also) are abused behind the curtains and a famous actor/director that we all love might be a monster.......

There's a very distinct difference between Buzzfeed News and Buzzfeed. The money made off Buzzfeed's clickbait quizzes fund the actual reporting and journalism they do on Buzzfeed News. I'm not fond of Buzzfeed either but to disregard Buzzfeed News in its entirety because of a separate site is unjust, they've done some amazing investigative pieces. To brush this one specific article off as a tabloid newspaper is disregarding the importance of original pieces like this:

I respectfully disagree. Buzzfeed may have had some various news pieces, but that does not mean they are The New York Times or something similar in regards to level of integrity. You are talking about a website that has consistently taken every opportunity to drag the concept of objectifying women, and then posts articles every time a male celebrity has a nude scene talking about how much they want to **** them. If Buzzfeed wants to be taken seriously, then they need to not post stupid, hypocritical ****.

Yes and the point I’m trying to make is that Buzzfeed News is not the face that the company puts out in the forefront. If you type in buzzfeed.com and go to the site, the “news” articles are intermingled with all their other stuff. 

 

You have a “hard hitting I’m a super credible journalist” article talking about Trump and the Clinton email scandal, and two articles below it is “25 People John Mayer Has Roasted On Twitter”.

http://buzzfeed.com/news is a different site, focused on news, ranging from analysis of the MeToo movement to articles about Stranger Things.

Since you compared it, let's check out https://www.nytimes.com/. Similar articles on similar topics, there's even a Stranger Things article if you scroll down a bit.

1. buzzfeed.com and buzzfeed.com/news is not two different sites. When you have a / before something, in this case /news, this designates it as a subsection of the main website. Buzzfeed.com is the company and the News section is simply a section of it. They are not two different websites, they all belong to the same domain and company.

2. So the "reputable" News section of Buzzfeed which you are hailing also has these two lovely articles posted on its front page:

"16 Sex Dreams Of Real People That Will Make You Cringe"

and

"Confused Cats Respond To Sarah Sanders' Story About Drinking To Explain Tax Reform."

 

Yes. That is on their NEWS section. So now, its not Page 6. Its Page 14.

It is inexcusable that he decided to come out as gay during this fiasco. This only perpetuates the stereotype that gays are pedophiles. I don't think it'll set us back, but it does reinforce these stereotypes. 

First part: yeah, it was weird to me when Kevin said he had no memory, and Rapp says that after said party he never talked to/saw Kevin again. Why did Rapp make no effort to clear the air when they were apparently friends before? Why did he wait past the statute of limitations? 

Second part: this is totally agree with. Some PR manager steered him waaaaaay wrong there.

Yeah but this allegation has ruined his reputation, he is one of the most famous actors in Hollywood. Netflix has already cancelled House Of Cards, his career is in jeopardy. All of the people defending Spacey, Imagine you, or a loved one, being 14 and new to a scene and a 26 year old drunk comes on top of you and gropes you sexually. 

To top it off when you finally confront the guy he's like "Well i don't think it happened but if it did the I must have been drunk, obviously"
