There is systemic racism in the United States that individuals with "white lives matter" signs are disregarding and disrespecting. By holding these signs, they are belittling and making a mockery of a very important cause. Its akin to me going out there with a sign "hetero lives matter" or "wealthy people matter"...(not that I am wealthy). Its ludicrous. The statement "All Lives Matter" is redundant and is really just a ploy by angry white people to say that "Yeah, your life matters, whatever, but what about my life!"
