Ryusei 61,110 Posted October 28, 2017 Share Posted October 28, 2017 So in interviews Gaga kinda made it seem like she just wanted validation for this R&B song she wrote so they contacted R.Kelly to be on it but IMO in the ARTPOP era, shock value was still a big part of gaga's spiel so I think they just put him on there for the shock value and attention it would get if he was featured on a song... I think Gaga was..."naive" in a certain point. Kelly and had the vision of true R&B on the track. Much respect to her, as the easy route would have been to get Drake or Breezy on the track. It’s kinda like the Judas situation, execpt the hate was on religion and the lyrics in the song were not radio friendly, while DWUW had bad Promotion + and the controversy with R. Kelly. She hasn't worked with Terry Richardson since everything that happened after the DWUW video. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's the reason she cancelled it. She'd literally be rolling around naked surrounded by sexual abusers.
