That's not true that most do. None of Gaga's did for example.

It's not about hating but having a good taste. The song is bad, like really bad.

There’s no such thing as “good taste” imo, it’s subjective.

Sis it’s not like PI was #2 on the charts and closer was the only song blocking it. PI was just not good enough to peak anywhere at the top 5 no matter when it was released, a good song will force it’s way up the charts no matter what’s considered “trendy” at the time; for example “Poker face”, that song is so well written and produced that it’s hard to ignore, Gaga was a new artist at the time, so she had no ‘star power’ to push the song to #1, plus her avant garde style was still on the lowkey so her fashion wasn’t the reason JD and PF were successful either.

so.... Gorgeous is a good song not built entirely on hype and people's thirst to check out who else is she dissing/what boy is she writing about?

See...whether it’s good or not is subjective, but it’s not as catchy as some of her other songs so yes it is built on hype to some (maybe big?) degree.

Who are these 60,000 people and how can we help them?

I happen to be one of those 60,000 people.

I understand the song may be your average pop song, but one of the reasons I really like this song is because of the way it makes me feel. The lyrics or song in general don't really wow me, but just the simple phrase and hook "You're so gorgeous, i can't say anything to your face, 'cause look at at face" may mean nothing to many people, but maybe those 60,000 people feel some sort of crush right now, like I do.
*quick backstory* i have a crush on a guy at work and I cannot tell him for many reasons, one of them being that I am his boss, but just seeing him makes me feel immaturely in love. That middle school feeling where it is just a crush.

Hearing those lyrics being sung make me feel the butterflies all over again, and while there are many other songs out there that really express my emotions, just the simplicity of this Pop Song make me enjoy it. Maybe if I wasn't crushing on this guy at work I would call this a terrible song, but don't discredit it just because you cannot relate to it.

Again, I'm not calling this a masterpiece, but it does hit a soft spot for some people because they are madly in love.

To put it in perspective, I think a song like Queen "Bohemian Rhapsody" is a full masterpiece, but that song doesn't make me relate to the crush and feelings I have at the moment.

Now that you explain it like that, I think it's understandable that people would like the song.

Um sorry to break your bubble but PI was No. 2 on the digital songs chart and Closer was the only song blocking it. If it wasn’t for streaming PI would’ve easily Peaked at No.2 on the Hot 100.

We both know I was referring to BB hot 100 :giggle:but I get it, we must hold the standards a little lower when it comes to PI.
