 I am sure there are plenty more of these special kids out there, the tattoo have 3 digits so it could be from 100 to 999 kids who have been lab rats. Not sure about the conflict thing, might be but don't think it will be major plot.

As of now, still, Mind Flayer is the main villain at least until S3 over, imho

I just finished this and loved it so much. It's just as good as Season 1 or maybe even a little better, which I didn't think was possible. It exceeded my expectations. The cast is just incredible. Definitely my favorite show of the decade so far.

How did you feel about episode seven? I'm seeing a little bit of criticism about it feeling "out of place'. I personally loved it and thought it was a really emotional and important arc for eleven and her self discovery. It made it all the more impactful when she returns to Mike and the group.

Just as good as the first season.  Totally incredible.  Episode seven was pointless but still enjoyable.

Personally, I really enjoyed episode 7. I love to find out more about Eleven's past. And that there are more than one of people who have powers like she does. And love how they put this altogether into one episode rather that cutting it in parts to be put in segue on the whole season which possibly will ruin the mood and pacing since the main story line this season is not about Eleven anymore. I think this is the best way to show it, since Eleven still so many story to tell, while the main story have move way further. If it was shown in parts on each episodes, it may take too long to catch up to the story happening in the present time.

It's better than season one, thank god. That was a hard feat but they did it.

Also i'm glad episode seven existed because we needed more world building for future seasons.

Episode seven was important, and i'm glad we she got a whole different (but important) story before she reunited with the whole gang. 

 

The scene with eleven and that upside down vagina/crack was epic. My jaw dropped when the mind flayer was behind the gate.

I liked it less than S1 I think but it was still SO GOOD. From episode 1-5 I was actually kinda uninterested and I thought I wouldn't like this season but it proved me wrong. Suuuuuch a solid follow-up to the first season.

Also I'm in love with this cast. El, Nancy and Hopper

I think episode 7 acted like a backdoor pilot in terms of introducing us to the next season because with the labs being closed down, clearly they're going to focus on more of the test subjects out in the world. That would expand the series on so much more than Hawkins and I can't wait to see how that turns out.

It was also a really great insight into Eleven.
