Not if it was recorded when TEOG and The Queen were recorded

Unless if she was in between sounds at that time and still wasn't sure of the album's exact direction. She knew it was her rebel album and that it was a plethora of sounds, but the industrial electronic stadium rock direction was never really evident until the album's release. She could have been making all kinds of genre of songs, i remember she said at one of TMB shows (Poland?? Germany??) that it could have over twenty tracks or something like that, it's hard to tell what else she had cooking :excited2:

sis.........BTW is still electro-techno wyd talking about

Well yes, but it's clearly less techno more industrial rock, maybe she initially planned on the more techno sound (Scheiße, Judas, Government Hooker, Americano, Acid Wash Girls). Even if it's electro-dance-pop it still sounds rock-ish (Marry the Night, Hair, Highway Unicorn, Heavy Metal Lover, Electric Chapel, The Queen, The Edge of Glory)

Marry the Night, Hair, Highway Unicorn, Heavy Metal Lover, Electric Chapel, The Queen, and The Edge of Glory are not actually rock though :selena: Critics mention its influence in the vocals and imagery (which is heavily dependent on 80’s metal and rock imagery), not necessarily the instrumentation or music itself.

Its more accurate to describe Born This Way as straight up 80’s electronic pop, because that’s what it is as a collective album.

Are you kidding me? The percussion in Highway Unicorn's breakdown literally sounds like it's ripped right out of an 80s hair track, Electric Chapel....don't even need to explain it, The Queen's breakdown is literally right out of The Eagles' discography, Hair is as hard hitting as any 80s stadium rock track and the percussion is reminiscent of Bon Jovi or Bruce Springsteen, and The Edge of Glory's synths are programmed sounding like there's an electric guitar in there. Marry the Night and Heavy Metal Lover are more of a reach but it's still there. I do think it is best to just call the album an 80s electronic work because that is indeed what it is, just with A LOT of rock instrumentation. :)
