NIghtmareElm 2,606
Recently Quentin Tarantino came out and said he knew all along about Harvey Weinstein assaulting and harassing young women. I feel so wrong and sleazy because I looked up this man for over 10 years and watched all his films over and over. I supported him ever since I saw Pulp Fiction. He was truly my favorite person in the entertainment industry. When I heard that he pretty much confessed to knowing about Harvey all these years, I felt disgusted. He had no excuse not to say anything. He wasn't some young actress trying to make it big in Hollywood. Ever since Pulp Fiction, he quickly became rich and powerful. He could have outed Harvey and it wouldn't have hurt his career. He still worked with The Weinsteins ever since Reservoir Dogs. There's no denying he's one of the greatest directors in history. He didn't have to keep working with them. Any studio would have welcomed him with open arms. Any budget he wanted. It sickens me that he still made movies with that scumbag knowing all along about what a piece of garbage he is. If Quentin said something, he would have been a hero and saved a lot more women. I'm not accusing him of being a rapist but he let it happen. I want and do want to see his next movie. I don't want to make the Weinsteins even more rich. I will feel horrible supporting someone who let rape and harassment happen. Just like how I feel bad for still listening to songs produced by Dr. Luke. NIghtmareElm 2,606
I looked up to him as inspiration and creativity more than I did Gaga. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be such a film fanatic. I always praised him. It's such a big deal because he clearly said he knew enough to do something. Ryusei 61,025
Probably thought he'd get exiled by the industry if he went around airing other people's dirty laundry.. I bet he's not the only one lol If you couldnt look up to anyone in hollywood who has done anything dirty you might as well stop watching movies alltogether tbh. Not making excuses for him but Ibet a lot of other people could have exposed him as well Musery
TimisaMonster 31,073
This just shows you how deep this scandal is I Hollywood where a lot of people intw, but we're in fear of not being able to work if they said anything... Now they feel comfortable enough because his credibility and career are already ruined so he can't hurt them physically or career wise Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify! Doot 2
Before crucifying the man (Quentin) let’s put some things in perspective here: http://m.tmz.com/#2017/10/21/guillermo-del-toro-harvey-weinstein-quentin-tarantino-sexual-harassment/ He IS coming forward now, as it seems is 75% of Hollywood as it even points out in the article, this behavior of Harvey’s isn’t anything new, they’ve made jokes of his behavior at award shows for God’s sake. Im not condoning Harvey’s actions at all, obviously that’s incredibly wrong, but let’s not act like Quentin is the worst person in the world or at all on Harvey’s level. Yes, he should have came forward but he also said that he only knew some of the allegations, not all of them, so unless he specifically comes forward and says what he knew, we have no idea what was going on in his head. But hindsight is 20/20. All we can hope for now is that this huge bombshell in Hollywood and the entertainment industry as a whole will all people to speak up and come forward now. Let this finally allow people to not be **** heads and grope other people, and allow everyone to have the courage to speak up.
NIghtmareElm 2,606
I know he's someone that I've never met. It's not like I worshiped him like a god but him and movies are weirdly something important to me so that's why I am strangely feeling a lot of emotions. Oriane 20,624
He is one of my favorite directors too, it was a shock for me as well. Besides, I often agree with him, with his opinions in his interviews. Now I don't want to justify it but I can understand how hard it is to talk about something like this, whether you're a victim or a witness. But he could have stopped working with Weinstein. elijahfan 25,893
You know what... it's always easy to say what you'd have done when you're actually not in the person's shoes. It must have been a tough situation to be in for QT: imagine learning one of your best friends and colleagues, someone you pretty much owe your career to, is assaulting women... Do you really think the first thing that comes to mind is to go talk to the media? Especially when you are yourself a pretty famous and polarizing public figure who's had your own issues with journalists. Of course, if QT had known something, he would have had a responsibility to warn others, or to try to talk to Weinstein, something I'm pretty sure he did since Weinstein molested some people close to Tarantino like ex-girlfriend Mira Sorvino or collaborator Rose McGowan. Also, I'd like to assume QT was aware of a few incidents but not necessarily of the whole picture. I guess what I mean is... it wasn't his place to speak out. He's not a victim. If I'd been him, I'd probably have encouraged women I knew to be victims to speak out, but I wouldn't have done it myself because I don't think I would have been the right person to do it.
