"Just out, but lightly reported: "Fewest jobless claims since 1973 show firm U.S. Job Market" Lowest since March 1973," Trump wrote. Initial jobless claims for the week ending October 14 decreased by 22,000 to 222,000, the lowest level since 1973, the Labor Department reported. Barack Obama - The national debt grew the most dollar-wise during President Obama's two terms. He added $7.917 trillion, a 68 percent increase, in seven years. This was the fifth-largest increase percentage-wise. Obama's budgets included the economic stimulus package. It added $787 billion by cutting taxes, extending unemployment benefits, and funding public works projects. The Obama tax cuts added $858 billion to the debt in two years. Obama's budget increased defense spending to between $700 billion and $800 billion a year. Federal income was down, thanks to lower tax receipts from the 2008 financial crisis. He also sponsored the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. It was designed to reduce the debt by $143 billion over ten years. But these savings didn't show up until the later years. For more, see National Debt Under Obama. https://www.thebalance.com/national-debt-by-year-compared-to-gdp-and-major-events-3306287 The largest portion of U.S. debt, 68 cents for every dollar or about $10 trillion, is owned by individual investors, corporations, state and local governments and, yes, even foreign governments such as China that hold Treasury bills, notes, and bonds. Foreign governments hold about 46% of all U.S. debt held by the public, more than $4.5 trillion. According to the Treasury, the largest foreign holder of U.S. debt is China, which owns more than $1.24 trillion in bills, notes, and bonds or about 30% of the over $4 trillion in Treasury bills, notes, and bonds held by foreign countries. In total, China owns about 10% of publicly held U.S. debt. Of all the holders of U.S. debt China is the third-largest, behind only the Social Security Trust Fund's holdings of nearly $3 trillion and the Federal Reserve's nearly $2 trillion holdings in Treasury investments, purchased as part of its quantitative easing program to boost the economy. The current $1.24 trillion in U.S. debt is actually slightly less than the record $1.317 trillion held by China in 2013. Economists suggest the decrease was due to China’s decision to reduce its U.S. holdings in order to increase the value of its own currency. The economy wouldn't be showing these reports from the job market if the economy was bad. Any information regarding deficit has nothing to do with jobless claims. Also, you need to understand the underlining principles of the economy. You can't fix it, but you can stabilize it and place policies to help it mend itself. "Good economy" doesn't mean great. But it's much better than in 08. https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2017-01-19/ranking-the-obama-economy https://www.newyorker.com/news/john-cassidy/obamas-economic-record-an-assessment

It was as bad in 2008 as it is now. Do u remember Lehman Brothers? There are tons of similars cases coming "soon" . Just wait. Not only in America ofc. Cmmon man, stop ur antitrump campaign and look at the truth. U think any president can do anything about it? **** all of those puppets. Americas not recovering. littleFandor 204
It is necessary and pretty much uninevitable to add dept and give packages to the economy after such an economic crisis as it was in 2008/2009. And i think the USA handled it pretty well overall. Not saying there are still problems with the whole "system" anyway, as some suggest.

The mass media, TV and twitter never tells the truth Why are you bringing Trump into this?.... My argument had nothing to do with him. We haven't even seen him take on the economy yet, so any arguments against him at this point is futile. Stop. Also, "mass media, TV, twitter never tell the truth" yet you're using the media to fuel your own truth. Really? You're going to tell us to stop paying attention to the fake media and at the same time use the media? That's not how it works. You can't use the media only when it appeals to you. It's a take all or nothing situation. "U think any president can do anything about it?" That was my point if you actually read it. The President only holds so much power over the economy. Economics relies so much more on the reliability of multiple sources of assessments. Lastly, you clearly didn't read my sources that help give you an assessment of what it means to be economy smart. You can't look at one assessment and deem the entire economy to be "bad". True economics do NOT work that way. So in truth, yes, Trump did acquire a "good economy". But that doesn't mean issues won't exist. The economy is based on fluctuations and policy making.

Its called inflation And I agree the Economy was not great and Obama had to spend a fortune to stimulate it Trump cant really take credit either tho
