If that were me, I would be even more thankful than Gaga was, cause people put in a lot of effort to make things like that, and even if you have a personality, it doesn’t hurt to show gratefulness. It turns out that persona was meant to help bullied kids who were made to feel like freaks in HS, just like Gaga when she was in HS. She needed to connect with those kids in order to help them. When you think about it, she gave up the GP in order to do so, as they are certainly turned off by weird, crazy, and freakish. I posted links to about 80 of her earliest interviews, the very time she was putting on the freakish persona. The interviews show that even in that era, her niceness shows through.
