Sony/ATV Co-President, U.S. Rick Krim said: “As ‘Bodak Yellow’ has already demonstrated, Cardi B is one of a rare breed of unique artists who the industry only witnesses occasionally. We are honored that Sony/ATV will get to work with this special talent who is not just impacting music but pop culture as well.” Well said. She's fun, dresses fun, is breaking records in the rap industry. It's only cuz she's had one song so far. Just Dance didn't throw Gaga into SUPER fame. It was actually Poker Face. Her second single that did that. Poker Face solidified her and was a much bigger hit worldwide. Just wait. It's also hard for a female rapper to have that same level of fame as a pop singer. You can deny it if you want, but music-wise, fashion-wise, culture-wise, is she a trailblazer of any sort? She might end up becoming a one hit wonder, after all.
