badgirlmeat 3,243
you literally described my experience now it is the most played album on my last.fm and my 2nd favorite from Gaga's discography (after ARTPOP ) 🤠

Now that we're like a year out, I generally only listen to Diamond Heart and Million Reasons but I still love the album a lot. You have good taste, those are my two favorite songs from the album
tthen 4,621
Some tracks I instantly loved (DH/Joanne/MR/HG/AD), while I had to get used to a few others (DiC/JW), but it's the album that made me a Gaga fan. I have a (sometimes strong) dislike for TFM/BTW/AP. TF was danceable and fun, but nothing that wooed me over. C2C/TIHTY/both Oscars made me appreciate her as an artist and I listened to C2C often. I was a bit on the edge when Joanne came out since I knew C2C was mostly damage control after AP, but Joanne proved that she was serious when she said that she was leaving pop. Listening to Joanne I grew a tremendous amount of respect for her. Not as much as C2C (that one genuinely shocked me though), but it was then where it was safe to say that I was a Gaga fan. I was a bit worried when TC came out since it could've meant her going back to pop, but I have faith that LG6 will continue to stray from pop and explore jazz/classical/rock (not pop-rock like she has previously done..the Metallica performance proves that with some practice she could do rock). Kind of shocked to see a fan who doesn't want her to return to pop! I somewhat agree with you in that I've outgrown pop and don't listen to it anymore - recent exceptions are Joanne and Rainbow since they aren't really "pop" anyway. However I love TFM and BTW because they're so otherworldly I don't even consider it pop. TF and AP I don't really listen to anymore and I dislike the cure. I'd love for her to return to the epic experimental pop of TFM/BTW, but not The Cure. But what I really wish for is an album full of Diamond Hearts, You and Is, The Edge of Glories, Til It Happens To Yous, and piano ballads. Edit: although if she really wanted to branch out, I'd love a full on metal/rock album and even a psychedelic album as well.

Not a huge TEOG fan, but the rest I've never liked experimentalGa. That's one thing that attracted me this era+C2C. Her outfits have been simple or stripped back and her music sounds...better (especially production wise). I actually like TF since it's fun and not an album I really take seriously. It's just for whenever I wanna feel free or active. TFM/BTW/AP all sound too experimental or pop-ish? to me. I also remember most singles being overplayed to hell with TFM/BTW to the point that I had to leave a place from how sick I was from a song. C2C shows off her vocal talent, while Joanne shows her versatility. I'd like an album that mixes Joanne, C2C, piano ballads, and rock. Would be a vocal masterpiece. It's not that I hate pop (Melodrama is my album of the year), but I've never liked the type of pop that she used to do.
Ziggy 11,868
I really like Joanne, all of it. It took me a little to like Hey Girl and Come to Mama (I could recognize that they're great, but they didn't click perfectly), but I love them a lot now, especially Hey Girl (beautiful instrumental). I don't think I'll get sick of it because it has a very timeless quality to it and great components.
Dominic 11,922
That click never came for me I listen to PI, GG and JAD now but I just can't connect with the album which is surprising as it's her most 'personal'. I wish I enjoyed it but it's just not for me, it feels a little bleh. I instantly liked every other album but not this one. Shame because it feels like I've not had a new Gaga album in 4 years as it was such a non-event for me The hardest thing in this world is to live in it
