So they should be more upset with the changing then people not saying it at all. These people are such hypocrites. Can I not saying Happy Holidays as a way to signal the time from Thanksgiving to NYE? Plus Christmas isn't even Christmas anymore... So Christians should be more hurt about that like with the whole flag issue. "If there's a happy holidays sign, that's fine. If there's a Merry Christmas sign, that is also fine. " So what's the issue here then? Why can't people say Happy Holidays? That's their freedom of speech. Is this what conservatives have to worry about? Is there even any evidence on that or it’s just something right wing media wants you to believe? I know some headlines about “foreigners want to ban Xmas songs!” when in reality all they wanted is for their own children in school to be able not to sing those songs, to find some alternative, without being punished. Not to force them on people. I know for example, Jehova’s Witnesses always fight for their religious rights, so their kids don’t have to celebrate birthdays and what they see as pagan holidays. It’s their right. Christmas is supposed to be 1 to 3 days at the end of December, right, but the department stores celebrations and decorations start from beginning of November. There are many holidays in between so it’s normal if they want to include more people. Trump is not ok with more terms of congratulating, from his speech it seems like he wants to force only one way. I also don't think anyone should be forced into anything - again that is a separate issue. My main point is people shouldn't be offended by Merry Christmas. If someone is genuinely celebrating Christmas in the ways in focus in here, someone shouldn't be offended for the reason it does not include them ideologically. Just as much as a straight person shouldn't be offended by an LGBTQI+ celebrating pride, for the reason it doesn't include them ideologically. I also couldn't care less if the American people said "happy holidays" a million times and more. People just shouldn't get mad at someone else who says Merry Christmas to, or around them.
