StrawberryBlond 14,831
Unbelievable how that interview was included in a "Craziest moments of TRL" segment like it was a jolly good hoot that was worth laughing about when all is said and done. This is how normalised the sexualisation and sexual assault of women is. It's just considered a laugh, something "wild and crazy" to cheer on. But, as the woman herself says now: "If I didn't laugh, I would have cried." That pretty much sums up the reason why sexual harrassment victims sometimes smile and laugh throughout. It's not genuine happiness and consent, it's a pure defence mechanism. And how did we never know about that 2004 interview? That is insane. Unbelievably, I found a longer clip of it on YouTube, at over 5 minutes: Check out 3:38-3:50 in particular for your jaw to drop. Unbelievably, this was uploaded nearly 11 years ago. How has this managed to stay online so long and nobody knew or cared? How did this even get aired? I don't know what the deal is with this interviewer, but the way they're acting, it suggests they've been intimate before. He talks as if he know her very well. It's hard to tell if she's uncomfortable or genuinely into him, the more you watch it. Whatever the real story, Gwyneth, J-Lo and Jennifer all had lucky escapes. I feel sorry for his kids when all this comes out.

She just gave an interview and clarified this whole situation- The Canadian TV personality, a singer and owner of Vanessa Media, told The Hollywood Reporter that the interview was an act. "This was for the camera," she said. "You have to understand that we have done dozens and dozens of interviews like that. It was for a show I was producing, so I was not at all a victim. When the cameras rolled, we would start to do that game. As soon as it stopped rolling, there was none of that. He never touched me in any improper way. He was very respectful, I must say." "It has been blown out of proportion," she said. "I know that people like fishing for anything, but this is completely out of context. I would like this to not have any negative impact on him. I find it sad." http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/anne-marie-losique-says-her-ben-affleck-interview-is-being-taken-context-1047745?utm_source=twitter&utm_source=google.com&utm_medium=referral Call me by your name and I'll call you by mine

Gaga fans wanted her to stop working with him because it was sending the wrong message. Any other female celebrity who works with him has been called out by various feminist outlets ever since these revelations came out. 14 minutes ago, yASSsss said: She just gave an interview and clarified this whole situation- The Canadian TV personality, a singer and owner of Vanessa Media, told The Hollywood Reporter that the interview was an act. Why would that endear people? Wouldn't they not think it was real and kick up a fuss about it? For what possible reason did they do this? And in 2004, he had just started seeing Jennifer. Is this really appropriate behaviour for a man who was taken? I know I wouldn't want a partner acting like this unless it was for an actual film. If he was fine with this, that says a lot about his character. And yes, in addition to that tweet you posted, it looks like he's got form for this, acting or not.
