highlikegaga 9,097 Posted October 11, 2017 Share Posted October 11, 2017 Okay, so I was watching the G.U.Y video and wondered about Hearst Castle (we all know that was where the video was shot, duh) so I went on and Googled it. Gaga's music video was SHOT IN HEARST CASTLE, which is almost 100 years old. I don't know if you guys know but only two projects were ever shot there. Spartacus (1960) which has 4 Oscars and G.U.Y. Honestly, there is not a single pop girl right now...hell, there is not a musician that has ever filmed there and she managed to do that. Not Adele, Beyonce, Eminem, Drake, Kanye West, Taylor Swift or whoever...Gaga! I know you probably already knew that, but I think it goes out to say how much effort she puts into her music videos and how seriously she take her art. For f_ck's sake Lady Gaga is part of the castle's history now. It's right there on the wikipedia page. So in the future when someone googles the castle they are going to bumb into Gags name. I don't care for charts and sh-t like that. She has artistic integrity and that is so rare nowadays. This is an artist that always puts her best efforts to her projects and never halfasses things. Gaga's in it for the long game, people. I'm sure you guys have seen threads for this before, but this music video needs to be celebrated frequently and we should never forget it. Remember all those Minecraft spammers under the video Also, I found this quote: "It's really up for interpretation by anyone that watches it. There's some artistic images and just some really pop images and I think the trick is to kind of watch it a few times and you'll catch something different each time. But it's ok to be confused because the intention was for there to be a hallucinogenic quality to when you're watch it, like Pop Culture Acid."
