I think it’s fairly unanimous in this thread that no one cares for the guy. He’s just saying stuff that is typical of someone who would wear a MAGA hat so there’s not much to discuss on that end. 

I don’t think this is felony worthy whatsoever, but it’s extremely silly/risky to film yourself stealing and refusing to give someone their hat back as well.

I remember watching this clip originally. Couldn't stand her babyish pouting and smug look. I'm surprised the guy didn't snatch it back off her, she's standing in front of him. I feel for the staff as well, who didn't quite know how to handle such a case for fear it could all kick off. Pressing for an arrest is a bit of a stretch but in any case, it might teach her a lesson about right and wrong. Society has reached a point where some people think they can just do what they want and no one deserves to stop them. If you don't follow the law, you will face consequences, this shouldn't have to be explained to adults. A hat, regardless of what it says, cannot harm you. And that guy was likely the only one there who was wearing it anyway. What was the worst that could happen? And "f**k your laws"? They're not his laws. They're the laws of the country. I'm sure she's fully supportive of the laws that benefit her however.

Over-exaggeration and limiting free speech to approved avenues is what is embarrassing the liberal cause. The woman may have a point when she says that the hat represents close-mindedness and support of laws that ask for deportation...but she really lost the place by saying it represents genocide and lynchings. Trump is against illegal immigrants. As long as you have papers, you're fine. I don't want to see families broken apart and I think the ones who have been here for a long time and have put down roots deserve to stay. But from here on in, illegal immigration needs to be controlled better. A wall's going too far but there needs to be a change. Controlled immigration is fine, illegal immigration is not. As awful as Trump supporters were, I didn't hear any of them calling for a genocide of minorities. Believe you me, if a government wants genocide, it'll happen and it doesn't happen gradually, it happens overnight. Don't get me wrong, it's a bad time to be a minority in a Trump-supporting state right now but the last thing they need is more scaremongering. She was really flabbergasted when the guy said he was half-Nicaraguan. Her response of "You're white, boy!" was likely covering up her annoyance that he wasn't using his heritage to claim victimhood like she was. She was desperately scarpering for defence by the end as she knew she was out of ammo. Does she really think stealing someone's property is going to soften them up to the cause? Delusion.

If I saw a man wearing a hat that said "F**k feminists," sure, I'd be annoyed, but I wouldn't dream of stealing it and refusing to give it back. Why?

A) Stealing is a crime and I wouldn't want it done to me.

B) A man who wears such a hat would obviously not listen to anything a woman says.

C) That man would definitely be even more anti-feminist if a feminist stole his hat.

That was indeed problematic. But he is a Trump supporter, so what's new?

But, to be specific, he said: "Then get out, honestly, if you don't like the country, if you don't like it get out." And she responded with "Where the f**k am I going to go?" and he said "I don't know, Mexico, wherever." And then she assumed that he was calling her brown, even though she looks Hispanic, sounds Hispanic and is called Edith Macias, so it was hardly an incorrect assumption (although her actual country of origin may be incorrect). Basically, it was just the standard "if you don't like it, get out," line of thought that's used in many situations in life, it's not always racially related. It just seems to be the most simplistic, straight-forward idea to people nowadays, even though most of us don't have the money to live wherever we like. It's like when I tell people that living with my parents is driving me nuts and their only response is "move out, then." But I have no money, no job, all properties are too expensive and I don't want to live alone anyway, so I'm stuck. Point is, telling someone to get out/move somewhere else/move on is not always a race thing. We're in a society now where if people don't like something, they just throw in the towel and find greener pastures elsewhere so, telling them to do just that is seen as the most logical step. I think the guy was just looking for this argument to end and was wanting to tell her where to go without swearing at her. Which most people would have done.
