Anyway, today Putin celebrates his 65th birthday. He has been in the upper echelon of Russian powerhouse since 1998. He has served as the Federal State Safety Service director, the Prime Minister (twice), the President (two full terms, in his third term now). However, not everybody here is happy about his policy course, and today hundreds and thousands of hunties (and other people too) have gathered in most cities of Russia to express their resentment to his ways. The protests were organized through Mr. Navalny election campaign office - the political movement of the sole real opposition politician in the country, and are aimed to be a part of his run for the 2018 Presidency. The decision to draw crowds on Putin's birthday was spicy enough to have @Triggered the police and other security services; so far, over 200 people have been arrested across the country, and even my flop ass was stopped by the police at the subway station. But I told them I am protected by @Doot and that @Haroon would warn them unless I was free to go, so here I am. They were less crowded than the Spring Protests, but massive enough to attract attention and cause some media fuss, and a nice reminded that there are many people in Russia who are not aligned with Putin Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bc I feel as long as he's alive, Russia will still be under his hands. But wow 65?! If he suddenly passed, there would still be the Federal State Security Service with thousands of armed guards and soldiers that can easily cease power over Russian nukes thus making themselves look legitimate for the rest of the world Don't worry, you're safe.
