Denmark to ban the burqa & niqab

you know, I don't really like it when people wear a burqa or niqab, but I also don't really care, if woman want to wear it, but when they wear it because their men want this, I think that's wrong

I think that a ban is wrong. the woman, who weared it (I think not many) may not be allowed to go outside anymore, when their men want this. maybe there are woman who want to wear this. there should be another solution. come together, we belong together.

 

the real problem is fear from european poeple and we all should learn how to deal with this and how to respect each other and to trust and love each other

and all people should let other people decide what they want to wear( men should not force women to wear something and nobody should force anybody to something)

 

 

 

and when this is reality, I will hear a voice that sound like Gaga ``heaven, I'm in heaven´´

I traveled to Switzerland in August and was honestly pretty shocked at the amount of burqas/niqabs I saw when there. Because it was something I had never seen before, even living in a diverse city like Chicago, it almost struck a sense of fear into me. I think maybe because I associate fully covered faces like that with criminals in ski masks. I admit it was an irrational fear, but I can understand why many people are uncomfortable around that kind of clothing.

Most woman who wear the Burqa & Niqab will now not leave their homes but as long as they fit the western narrative of what 'oppression' is. As per usual with these threads it is majority of males who want to decide what woman should wear.

And if you want a ban for burqa and niqab, you should think about the feelings that affected persons will have

I understand the security risk, but overall this ban doesn't sit right with me. A lot of the women who wear these things, at least in my area, are immigrants who've worn it for most of their lives. I would assume that many of them would struggle to transition to wearing a hijab, and personally causing people that kind of discomfort because "its oppressive!" is hypocritical -  but thats just from my angle.
