Acoustic/piano version of TEOG slays but You & I is by far a better song.

If we're being brutally honest, TEOG is one of my least favorites of hers.

What?!

Yeah she performed it first at the Elton John benefit or birthday or something in 2010 and it was so good. After that it slowly started getting more country and I was less enthused. There's also tons of Monster ball footage of it, but I like the very first performance best. She introduces it going, "I just wrote this, and since it probably won't be on my album..." before getting into it. It's so funny.

You and is more iconic simply due to the fact that it aged better. TEOG is a song I can only listen to every now and again because it was overplayed.

Really I literally never heard EOG on radio lol. I was shocked to find out it peaked so high when radio never played it.

Lol most of my friends used to know her as the “one that wore meat” and whenever I talk about her people are still sometimes like “oh, she still makes music? She disappeared after The Edge of Glory” and follow up with “oh I didn’t know she sang Applause”

Ahhhh two of her best songs. They're both FANTASTIC but I've always been fonder of Y&I for some unknown reason. Both are in my top 6 tho
