The Edge of Glory is easily more iconic. To paraphrase TEOG's lyrical content: "There ain't a reason "You and I" should be more iconic tonight yeah baby, any night yeah baby"  :reductive:

REALITY

Most iconic? That's easily TEOG.

Spoiler

I also just voted for TEOG because I like that song more, especially the acoustic version.

Funny you ask this, as not only are both on the same album, one right after the other, but they're also in the same key of A major.

I put the Edge of Glory as it captivated me the first time I heard it, but in terms of staying power/likely-to-be-voted-better-by-people-with-more-music-knowledge it is likely Yoü and I.

I love The Edge of Glory, but Yoü and I will always be so much closer to my heart because it reminds me of a person really special to me in my life and it's everything I wish I could say but can't anymore.

I really dislike the country production of Yoü and I. Were we talking about the original pre-album version I'd say it's a tie but TEOG wins because I just dislike what the production does to the song (nothing against country; I just feel like it limits the song a bit where it originally sounded more Elton John to me). Also, I adore both versions of TEOG amd remember thinking how huge that song was when it dropped. Like, all the BTW tracks up until then were good, but sounded a little small. This was one that came in like this beautiful explosion of sound that just went everywhere. The sax on it is great and I hope Clarence was proud of it.

Especially after the beautiful performance of it at the September 1 JWT show at Boston when she dedicated the performance to Sonja. I was in tears
