I was thinking, what in your opinion is the most powerful Gaga song to date? To me it's Princess Die. It's an incredibly powerful song, probably my second most favorite song from Gaga. It's a shame we'll never get to see a studio version, because it really is a powerful song. Her performances at the BTWB are really heart-breaking and moving from the amount of emotion you can hear in her voice (she even cries):

I say Till it Happens To You. It’s a emotional song about sexual assault and is a topic that is usually never talked about in mainstream media. When she made that song for the Hunting Ground, it became a more than a song, it be cams an anthem for the victim of Sexual Assault victims

Marry The Night has always been her most powerful song for me. It inspires me to never give up and gives me the grit I need to get through ****.

Christmas Tree.

"Here here here,
The best time of the year"

These words encapsulate the significant place Christmas has in modern American society, but when you take a look at the next lines the underlying message becomes a lot darker:

"Take off my stockings where?
I'm spreading Christmas cheer"

The stockings in this metaphor symbolize freedom, or rather, a woman curbing her own liberties in order to please society. This passage makes it clear that liberation comes at a dire cost. Where should I put my freedom? Gaga asks. In the hands of the government? On the cold, hard floor of society between cronyism and corruption?

"Yes, if you want us to we will" really drives the message home -- civilians are bending to the wills of authorities. Happiness (personified in the song as Christmas cheer) has become a commodity, and we are mindlessly letting people in power dictate our lifestyles and choices without stopping to question it. We are, in essence, chained to the rhythm.
