The German interior ministry says that "The German government's offices in the United States are currently seeing a significant increase in legal queries related to citizenship issues." And Reuters reports that applications from Germans stripped of their citizenship during the nazi-era and their descendants have risen sharply since the election. Through June, at least 100 people living in the U.S. have applied for German citizenship each month. German foreign ministry data showed that 1,190 applicants applied for citizenship in the first eight months of 2017. Not as bad as Japan tho Anyway pretty much all if developed world has this issue (with a few exeptions) Here in Canada there is talk of increasing annual immigration from 300,000 to 450,000 for this exact issue Its expected to lower percentage of seniors by 2040 (I think was 2040 not 100% sure) which would hit 24% of population... with this higher immigration would instead be 22% Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
