Goosey, there are people ****ing dying. So take your head off of your obviously backward ideas and have some logic and compassion.

I read this as "someone killed people, so don't post facts or statements that contradict or conflict with my opinion".

Not a big change tbh

In fact, looking at both trends, you can almost say the gun laws had no clear effect whatsoever.

The US has much looser gun laws now, and Australia got harsher ones... yet gun violence declined in BOTH countries and you can't see any sudden drops when laws came into effect.

Maybe you should begin reading stuff as they are instead of reading them in your own way then

I just love how you resume a tragic shooting to "someone killed people".

I also love how you use "facts or staments" about your opinion, and mine was just an opinion.

I SPECIALLY love how you try to use a ironic and superior tone to belittle my opinion and it actually didn't work.

People died bc your beloved orange's goverment treating gun control as a minor problem and passing it aside like it is nothing.

It's the 273rd shooting this year, it's not a minor issue. I'm just asking you to stop being biased and think about this people as living humans and not just statistics that you can use to defend that excuse for a president you have.

Also, you need some glasses.

this is the state of grace, this is the worthwhile fight

You got the "273" number from the flawed 'Mass Shooting Tracker', which was created by "GunsAreCool", an incredibly biased place. They've been widely criticized for their methodology, leading to headlines like "Press distorts with inflated 'mass shooting' statistics".

Still treating human lives as statistics I see...

Okay, you may be right on that one, but the rest of my argument stays intact.

Well no sh*t

if guns stop being sold ppl will still have them for many years still

It would take several years as guns get old and dont work on younger generation didnt get a chance to ever buy one

dont expect a big drop the decade of unless ur gonna knock on ppls houses and confiscate every gun u find :rip:

Both countries seem to have declined at the same rate, though. The US was always higher than Australia. So clearly there's other factors involved here.

Im sure theres many factors

but if gun controls can reduce shootings and deaths by 2% i think its worth it. U cant put price on life

Also in most cases i dont think a gun will truly protect u in self defence

a robber comes into ur house 99% of times they will run away if they realize ur at home... pull out ur gun and theres a much higher chance he will react to protect himself and cross shooting may occur

unless someone has a personal vendetta against u... most assalters have no reason to physically harm u unless u give them a reason to
