Gaga's movie debut is coming, how heavily do u think she should promote it with television appearances and performances from the soundtrack? Should it get as much promo as an album? More? Less?

Personally, I would think she should do a reasonable amount of promo. She should do GMA, Fallon, Ellen, the BMAs and a little more.

I don't think that Gaga wants to heavily promote the movie, except for the things that she's obliged to do (from Warner bros). It looks like she doesn't want this to be regarded as the Lady Gaga movie (she's going to be credited as Stefani Germanotta), and she wants to be taken seriously as an actress. Even if she does TV appearances and performances she will be with Bradley and not solo like she used to.

Well... I'd say the regular way those things go: several talk shows, press junkets (maybe in different countries), attending premieres. I know we're all excited about the soundtrack, but I really have no idea how heavily the promo will be relying on it, especially since this is Gaga's first real foray into acting on the big screen - so she probably won't want to put the emphasis on the singing side, if you know what I mean.

I hope for some late night shows.... I really missed them during the Joanne era.

i hope her and bradley promote it equally, maybe more than she does, so she isn't doing all the interviews etc

I totally agree, I was really disappointed she'd didn't go in Ellen this era.

She needs to do all of the major talk shows but with Bradley and not alone. If she does them alone they will focus too much on her, music and the Superbowl, she needs a co-star there to take some of the focus.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the actors get to decide how much promo they're going to do for a movie. They get booked for interviews and such but if no major talk show will have them, it's not really their fault, now is it.

I do think Gaga will talk about it as much as she can, but if the movie flops, for the love of God don't blame it on her :saladga:

exactly :applause:

fans need to learn the difference between promoting an album and promoting a movie, and i don't think she has much of a control over the latter
