Watched it last night and liked it quite a lot.
Wouldn't say it's better than IT though, but that's just my opinion.

Had to look away just once but a certain face still kind of haunts my mind :laughga:

Not The Real Gaga

Watched it yesterday (thanks for your advice) and I really loved it. Would also say it's better than It. This movie has some really scary scenes. Although, in general, it's even watchable for people who are often afraid.

I found this scarier just because of how realistic it was, imagine being in her position and couldn’t get free. You would start to go insane, I loved the twist at the end it made it even more disturbing.

Yeah, I also really love the realness of this movie, that makes it really strong and in some way really scary too, indeed. The twist didn't work as good as I hoped it would work, because I already knew it and I think the should have add just one scene more with the Man of Death to make it heavier. But still, great movie!

Go watch it everybody!

I just finished watching it and really liked it. I watched the trailer like weeks ago and had another idea of what it was about but it was a nice surprise, very different and I liked the ending. It's more like a psychological thriller with a couple of gory stuff but not that heavy, it actually reminded me a little bit of It Follows, especially the creepy guy scenes. I haven't read the book but I heard fanboys are very happy with it and say it's the best Stephen King adaptation.

I was pretty boring tbh

I was expecting more

That one scene almost makes me faint tho, I never felt disturbed by that kind of stuff before, I got dizzy and my heartbeat's racing watching it

It's brilliantly done and captured the book perfectly.

I also love that the director left the Dolores Claiborne connection during the eclipse in both books.

I've seen a lot of complaints that it's not scary enough or slow? Well, it's supposed to be a movie that shows the desperation of the woman handcuffed to the bed, running out of time, hallucinating and near death. It's not IT or The Exorcist.:saladga:

Loved it. Carla's best performance.

The psychological elements, tension/creepiness, performances, narrative, atmosphere, and cinematography blended and worked so well.

My only criticism is that it dragged a little. But pros definitely outweigh that con. I'd definitely rewatch it.

Yes! It is a horror movie, and horror comes in many forms. I also don't see how anyone could find it slow. It was perfectly paced, every second is revealing something to the audience.

People consider it horror if there's loud jump scares, CGI monsters or violin chords each time a door opens. :selena:
