As a not blind liberal, I have to say this is a bit ridiculous.  Melania tried to do a nice thing and she got crucified for no real reason.  Dr. Suess didn't make me hate anyone of any ethnic group as a kid so his books are harmless and literally just teach children how to read.

Yeah bit of a reach on the librarian’s behalf, the source website is pretty awful and biased though, I’d use a better one for the OP in the future.

I'm at work and saw it on many websites, initially Fox News, but obviously I didn't cite Fox or that would have blown this entire topic out of the water.

If you read the whole story, it has to do with how her school is well funded and how they don't need the books when there are other schools whose budgets have been slash because of policies put forward by Betty DeVos. Then there's the fact that Melania's choice of dr. Seuss is tired and predictable.
