Million Reasons Will Win Song Of The Year Grammys 2018

As I mentioned earlier, Humble is nominated much for its popularity and commercial success. Songwriting-wise, which is the main winning factor of SOTY, a rap song rarely gets any attention due to the lyrics. I do believe Kendrick will sweep all the rap awards but he might be snubbed in the general fields like Bey this year as the voters come from different genres.

Ed is pretty much nominated for his commercial success. If Shape of You is nominated, I doubt it will win because of its songwriting controversy. SOY is actually also quite different from the previous songs he was nominated for, like Thinking Out Loud. Grammy voters prefer the stripped back sound, and on the list, only MR really fulfills this:lana:

I like your points. I'm going to keep my expectations low for now, but it doesn't feel like such a long shot considering what you've mentioned and the Grammy's choices in the past.

if shape of you wins, the grammys are over

it's not fresh, it's not new, it's totally generic and bland and boring, all because the beat is catchy and it hit number one doesn't make it award worthy

now that's out my system: pls win gags

Of course its going to win, he's a straight white guy singing about a woman's body; you know how much people like to award that crap.

I want Kesha to get her first Grammy though tbh

I honestly don't care if y'all "excuse me no" me, I want her to win for SOMETHING though, at the very least.

Sorry to say this... but Gaga deserves SOTY a lot more after years of snubbing her in the Big 4:bon:

It actually deserves a SOTY Grammy.

'Shape Of You' better not win. Not unless TLC accepts the Grammy on Copy Sheehan's behalf.

well, to be honest, after all this campaigning about sickness, yes, I think it's becoming more likely.... fans can get mad all they want at me for saying this, but I do think that Gaga is counting on sympathy votes

I'm not sure why, but I just have this feeling that it will win. :diane:

Spoiler

Also, if that boring a$$ sh*tty song Shape Of You wins then I am literally never watching the Grammys ever again. I hate that song so much and it deserves nothing.

I think it has a good chance to be nominated. From there, it all depends on the division of votes...and that has to do with the competition in the category.

IF MR gets nominated, I will have to see the other songs to determine how much of a chance at winning I think it has.

SOTY: A nomination would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath for a win.

Best Pop Vocal - This is where she has big chances

I feel like it's only fair that MR gets a nomination, but this new HDD prediction is making me nervous

My early picks: "Shape of You," "Humble.," "Too Good at Goodbyes," "Say You Won't Let Go," "1-800-273-8255."

if he's too good at goodbyes, can he please say goodbye to the Grammys and let our "mommy" have it :trollga:

Good God, Samantha, won't you let us live for a second? :saladga:

and hunties, don't get me started on Shape of You, it's like unseasoned rancid chicken :gum:
