Remember what part JT's singing when he's ripping off Janet's bra? "Gonna have you NAKED by the end of this song." The whole stunt was planned for controversy, but once it got THAT much negative attention, they came out and claimed it was an accident.

Erm. They both played their part in it, and you have no idea who planned what so that's just hear-say babble. What Janet has said was that the breast-plate was supposed to stay in place instead of the whole thing coming off. However, that's not what's important here. The way the two handled the backlash is where the problem lies.

Janet refused to discuss and face what happened. Instead of embracing what happened, she decided not to answer any questions and kept being cryptic about it. It absolutely killed the buzz. Europeans thought it was a funny stunt and applauded her for it. But when she behaved so stuck up about it, never actually provided a real explanation of what was supposed to happen (until Oprah), people got tired of it. She could've handled it like a pro and used it to her benefit but obviously she didn't know how to.

Justin lied like a little brat first, saying it was all planned and "we love to give you something to talk about", then went on to make fun of Janet, made a hateful comment on a Timbaland track against her, and THEN finally apologised and admitted she got all the heat even tho they were both involved and USA is racist and sexist. Too little, too late. 

So if anything, Justin deserves this backlash now. I do not hate him, I actually liked some of his early work solo. But he was full of **** and then realised his mistake when it was too late.

This seems like a bad idea. The media is going to have a field day. I wonder if twitter and thinkpiece writers are enough to generate an actual backlash. He's gotten off scot-free a long time. I think him going along with the halftime show in the midst of the controversy is NAGL.

So you admit that it was probably planned all along? Because the first things they were saying was that it was indeed a planned stunt, but then began looking for other excuses when Janet got dragged by everyone and their mama for it, when MTV stopped playing her videos and radio banned her songs THEN she came out and said it was a malfunction to somehow save face and her career. It's really not that hard to understand it was a stunt that they didn't realize would be so hurtful to Janet's career, so they started claiming and lying that it was an accident.

JT was part of it too and should've been banned from radio and TV too, I agree about that. But he got away with it and that's VERY sad.

I still like him as an artist though. He should bring back Janet to HIS Super Bowl Halftime Show if it turns out to be true. That would only be fair tbh.

#AlternativeFacts by you lol. Maybe you should look back at what ACTUALLY happened, instead of mixing up the timeline. The first thing Janet did was taped a formal apology and said the performance did not go as planned, and it was a malfunction of her dress. She NEVER said any of the stuff Justin did. She denied everything. When she got tired of being treated like trash she announced she regrets she ever apologised for anything, as it was an accident and not done on purpose. Her story never changed. Justin's did.

Can't y'all forget the past and move on. Jeez. Maybe Justin was rude in not apologizing. But it's like 13 years ago. JT grew up. And the fact that he is doing a halftime show does not mean he is racist or anything like that

I think he can put on a good show. And he cares for his fans. (I wish I could say the same about Janet)

She certainly wasn't struggling with her latest show in Uncasville which brought her a 1.7M gross,  effortlessly beating some arena grosses of a certain ''amazing performer and vocalist''. It must hurt when someone ''talentless'' beats your ''amazing'' fave
