Republican is actually not as bad as I thought it would be. Ready For It? is still the best track, there are at least 5 listenable songs (Ready For It, End Game, I Did Something Bad, Don't Blame Me, So It Goes,  King of my Heart, Dancing With Our Hands Tied (second best track) , New Years Day). A cute 8 track EP.

Jesus.... 800,000 sold on iTunes WW and it's not even 12 hours out, 80's and 90's raining on this album from meta critic.... It's a cute album but it does feel a bit excessive.

Lol Taylor Nation is coming hard with the fan fictions this era. Literally can't believe anything they say.

Even if the first week sales do exceed expectations in the US and WW, this era is obviously bound to come and go. The album is dated and there's not a standout single/radio-friendly bop anywhere on the album. Sad because it's almost entirely produced by Max Martin. Witness teas.

Meanwhile DJWS is with Gaga tonight. They're literally working day and night in between shows right now, let alone all the studio sessions she had on her break. To think something isn't coming is ridiculous at this point. It's obvious they have a deadline they have to meet.

those sales are from pre-orders and sales from today. 500k from pre-orders and 300k from today, something like that. Still very impressive, it sold around 300k in one hour(digital sales)

I think its a reach but maybe it will sell 1m first day

I haven't listened to the album but I think Taylor is so smart for not releasing her album on Spotify, it will debut  #1 in pure sales....

Agreed but HDD has many and high level connections to the music industry. I mean high HIGH level. Sure it’s not like those two would for sure know things, they’re just speculating, but people should not uderestimate it.

What's the consensus on Taylor's album so far? I honestly don't like it at all, but I might just need some time, and let it marinade a bit. Maybe I'll like it later on.

For such a hyped album, I'm really underwhelmed.

As usual, it’s blend, uneventful, overproduced and basically a snoozefest.

You guys are both crazy. I was expecting to be so disappointed based on the promotional singles and was blown away. Every song gave me feels of some sort and it's her first album where there aren't any duds

Until she puts it on Apple Music I won't listen to it. and I really don't care enough to find a torrent, or buy it, lol. She's so petty for not putting it on streaming. If I don't listen to an album when it's first released I generally lose interest; hence, why I haven't given Lemonade a single listen one time.

I wouldn’t say it’s petty. I would say it’s smart. But yeah, I just don’t care.
