And the arenas are half full. Is it over? Jay-Z is now facing lackluster demand and sagging ticket prices on his ‘4:44’ tour....A quick look at Ticketmaster shows a massive number of unsold seats in markets like Denver, Dallas, and Los Angeles." https://www.digitalmusicnews.com/2017/11/03/jay-z-444-tour-disaster/ But perhaps a head-to-head comparison between Jay-Z and Lady Gaga in Los Angeles offers the best case study. Both artists are playing The Forum within days of one another. Gaga easily commands higher prices across all seats. As of this writing, Gaga’s seats start at $91. And closer seats easily blow past $1,000. By comparison, Jay-Z’s tickets start at $39. And you can currently purchase a seat in the fourth row for less than $350. That isn’t even a possibility at Gaga’s ‘Joanne’ tour, where $350 puts you ten rows back. And the biggest difference? You won’t see a $6 ticket for Lady Gaga’s show — from any seller. https://www.digitalmusicnews.com/2017/11/06/jay-z-threatens-legal-action/
ViviLittleM 3
at least in Italy we know that there is a big demand since the beginning lol even with the rescheduling, not a lot of people refunded, almost 0 they deserved a second date... I've said it time and time again. Gaga never actually sold out Hamburg, even pre rescheduling it was EMPTi. Appearently they're only coming back because the arena in Hamburg is one of the very few ones that don't make you pay a ridiculous fee in case of cancellation or rescheduling. Cologne is tragic because it's Carnival season in Germany. People in Cologne are gonna be partying in the streets. Also the Cologne audience for Gaga kinda depends on people from Southern Germany travelling north too, nobody is gonna ditch the local carnival parades to see a rescheduled Gaga concert (unless you don't care about Carnival).
