:air: Gurl I've always agreed with you but this :air:

She got 2 top 5 songs this era, with a #1 and #4. Most viewed video a day, broke Vevo's record, broke Spotify's record, biggest first week single sales in 2017. 3 #1 Digital songs already (about to be 4), most pre-ordered album 400K... Compare to every other artists this year.,she's definitely on top for the pop genre.

I mean sure LWYMMD doesn't have longevity but it surely still a smash hit.

My only point is that LWYMMD and RFI combined are not as big as New Rules, Havana, or Sorry Not Sorry. Also not as big as What About Us, Chained To The Rhythm, Million Reasons, or Love On The Brain. :reductive:

imo Million Reasons, Love On The Brain were kinda local.

But yeah I agree, What About Us and Chained To The Rhythm + Havana + SNS are bigger worldwide.

Neither I am  a big fan of Taylor nor I am a hater. Here are my 2 cents:

Taylor is not flopping by any means at the most it is an underperformance when you compare the singles to the 1989 ones. They are not smash hits like Despacito, Work or Shape of You but LWYMMD is a cute hit. Her album sales will be huge in the first weeks so she will be more than fine. I just doubt that this album will serve longevity like 1989 when we consider how messy the single rollout  so far was. In that term they have to get their sh*t together and have an elaborate plan with the 2nd and 3rd single....

I agree and disagree.. agree that LWYMMD isn't as big as NR, Havana or SNS(maybe?) Globally but it's bigger than WAU, LOTB, MR & CTTR.. esp LOTB & MR in global scale. . .

it's true that she's frontloaded this era and free falling after all the PAYOLA but still it's doing better than most of the girls' . it can be called FLOP for her standards, Underperformance for everybody elses standards and a DECLINE for her career in general but it can't be denied that she's still doing better than most of the pop girls even when "FLOPPING" . and I'm not even a taylor fan....

but yeah, this is a bad sign for where her career is going.
