Not really unnecessary. It's sort of her thing to have lyrics that are repetitive in the "muh muh muh muh"  and "rah rah ah ah ahh"  sense. 

They've helped to give her her distinct sound and also worldwide appeal where her hooks are catchy and easy to remember irrespective of one's native language.
