Look at their chart peaks and runs 

they have good amount of crazy and loyal fanbase.. YES but it's no popular and no BIG if GP is not here for it.

My point is that most kpop idols are trained af and dance their butts off. Maybe it's because i'm a sucker for choreo and great performances but it's not the same for me

Actually Kpop as a whole it's not that big internationally yet. BTS is the first one to chart in multiple charts across the globe. Maybe some will follow maybe not but we'll see.

I mean, nobody really says that K-Pop is "big" per se. BTS is just the second K-Pop act ever who is starting to crossover and get respectable amounts of success abroad. The main argument here was whether K-Pop good. BTS's success is kind of comparable to Rammstein's success in the USA.

I feel like that applies only to people who listen to radio. I legit only heard Despacito a few weeks ago and I had to manually search it.

Maybe that's the case if you don't leave your house, but everytime I go shopping it's blasting from the speakers, it was on during a party I went to recently, and it's played in restaurants/fast food chains while eating. At one time I was walking past H&M and Zara and the happened to play Despacito at the same time, just with like a diffrence of one minute.
