I mean... Adele stopped bothering with promo after Hello. She basically went into hiding, shot one music video and left the other two singles with no performances and videos. The 25 era WAS uneventful, but it was still heavily successful.

Well, I see some of you misunderstood me. YES, she can sell albums, play sold-out stadims, she is a legend... But, what I wanted to say is: all of her albums sound the same, especially 21 and 25. 25 felt like re-release of 21 as @viniferrett said and all of her songs are repetitive.

I think it's easy to say that until you hear and appreciate the work that went into each song. Lay Me Down is a lot different from Rolling in the Deep which is different from Sweet Devotion, etc.

I listened to 25 and 21 a multiple times and I don't hear any difference. But hey maybe it's just me that doesn't like that kind of music.

Yea, it's probably you. No offense. But there are pretty clear differences. A few songs may have similar tones, but that doesn't mean the music is the same. Otherwise it wouldn't be received as well as it was.
