n0ne 13,105
Red Hill = 8/10. Thiller with dramatic elements. Stars Ryan Kwanten (hot austrailian guy from True Blood). It was great, a little predictable and slow at times, and exceeded my expectations. The acting was great and so was the storyline. Heartless = 8/10. Horror with dramatic elements. Stars Jim Sturgess (hot british guy from Across the Universe). It was great, not as predictable but just as slow, and didn't really exceed my expectations. Jim did a wonderful job and there was an unexpected revelation at the end. "My people… need to let our bitchiness out. Otherwise, it turns to bile and poisons us"

Michael 533
Rate: 8/10 I really enjoyed this. It's a light hearted drama about a woman who falls in love with her gay best friend. Not bad at all.
ArmyOfDarkness 0
I have mixed feelings about this one. So they re-awaken the HAL9000, but he is a faithful servant again. The plans with the monolith in 2001 are revealed and some of the mystery from the original is lost. The final plan does have a positive message though, so it stands on it's own if you don't allow the brilliance of 2001 to mire your opinion of this film. The cold war politics in the film are hideously dated though. This film came out in 1984 and looks like they predicted the soviet union would still be around in 2010. ArmyOfDarkness 0
The Magnificent Seven 8/10 It's the 1960 American remake of the japanese 1954 film Seven Samurai. As a side note, Seven Samurai is a strong contender for greatest film of all time. I think they have done a good job lifting the story set in feudal japan and transferring it into the western genre. It speaks volumes for the original story when they can do this. All the character and their quirks are transformed into western counterparts and this film stands as a classic in it's own right. Take note that Hollywood icons such as Steve McQueen and Charles Bronson started their careers by starring in this film.
Leaf 2,429
Resident Evil: Afterlife Stupid. Interesting at times (for like 5 minutes) but everything was extremely bad. A few nice set pieces and scenes but it's like the filmmakers mashed together a few good movies. I would not recommend this to anyone unless your IQ is below 80. 4/

ArmyOfDarkness 0
Memento 8.5/10 Brilliant and clever, this is Christopher Nolan working to prove himself, as he didn't have the reputation he has now. Devoid of Hollywood excesses, this is a litmus test to separate the true Nolan fans from the bandwagon jumpers.
