Ambrosia 3,775
Grand Piano - 7/10 Interesting premise; it was pretty short, but fairly intense. Do not do to others what angers you if done to you by others. -Socrates
Lion Heart 15,041
Rating: 2/10 Plot: Zoe's (Zendaya) life has completely changed after her mother marries a basketball coach with three rowdy sons and an unruly dog. She struggles with adjusting to her new life on High School and has her dreams of joining to school's dance team crushed thanks to the b---hy team captain. One evening she downloads an app that controls dogs on command, but things go wrong after her phone gets dropped on water and the app now controls boys (implied dogs?)... All males on the show are portrayed as immature, disgusting jerks- not sure what kind of message they're sending here considering a good portion of their audience are young boys(?), and as always there's the "white b---h" who never fails to make an appearance in any of these kinds of movies. But that's not the best part. As the movie progressed I was thinking to myself- How can this film get any worse? Well maybe you can have Zendaya herself act like a damn dog- and behold she does! She barks, rolls over, and begs like a dog. Terrible, simply terrible. Zendaya herself isn't all too bad, but man this was a terrible film. ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀
Lion Heart 15,041
Rating: 6/10 The film stars 15 x WWE World Champion John Cena as Mike Chetley a legendary wrestler in the small town Oklahoma High School, but the film's main star is his younger "brother" Cal (Devon Graye)- an awkward teenager who's passion for wrestling embarks him on a journey to unite his estranged brother with his mother, portrayed by Patricia Clarkson. Cal initially struggles with wrestling, and eventually sneaks out to meet with his estranged brother and is then coached by him. Gradually his skills improve and so does his confidence, however his mother is unaware of the secret meetups. Their father passed away about a decade ago after an accident caused by icy road conditions, but his coach Red (Danny Glover) who acts as our narrator promises to look over the boys and passes some wisdom to Cal. After some confrontations, it's time for THE Match, and even though our hero loses he gains the respect of his peers including his main rival. It's a feel-good Kleenex dispenser of a movie, but too cliche-ish and flat. ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

n0ne 13,105
The Purge: Anarchy = 8.5/10 Definitely better than 1st, this one met, if not exceeded my expectations. I liked how they expanded the concept further in this one. Idk but it seemed like the ending hinted at a third one being made, it should be interesting to see where it leads since so much happen in this one. "My people… need to let our bitchiness out. Michael 533
Spun (2002) directed by Jonas Ã…kerlund. Starring: Jason Schwartzman, John Leguizamo, Brittany Murphy, Mena Suvari, Mickey Rourke, Patrick Fugit, Deborah Harry WOW is all I can say. This movie is absolutely fantastic. One of the few Brittany Murphy films that I hadn't seen so I decided to give it a watch, completley not realizing that it's absolutely one of her best films and best performances on screen. The film revolves around an Oregon d--g ring and follows them on a 3 day speed-trip as they go about their lives without any sleep. Everybody in the film gives great performances. Specifically Brittany Murphy, John Leguizamo, and Mena Suvari. It's just a trippy film and the direction and editing is brilliant, kind of reminiscent of "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". 10/10 Definitely. A must see. n0ne 13,105
The Den = 9/10 I saw the trailer last year when the film was premiering and was intrigued to see the film. So i was elated when I saw it was added to Netflix about a week ago and then decided to watch it this morning; and I am glad I did as the film exceeded my expectations from the trailer. The film turned out to be a surprisingly tense and original concept that was executed greatly. The movie was really scary and unpredictable while not dragging at all. It will mostly likely leave you w/ a sense of paranoia that something like the plot could possibly happen and is somewhat realistic. "My people… need to let our bitchiness out.
