Miel 15,009
6/10 [non-spoiler?] Cheap ass movie, with cheap ass sets and fx, yet it was pretty worthwhile. It centers around a group of casino workers trying to survive a wave of zombies due to a nuclear holocaust, all set in the "biggest littlest city in the world" (or some **** like that) Reno, Nevada. [spoilers] For a low budget straight-to-online film, it's pretty okay. Even with such a limited set, some of the shots are genuinely breathtaking (mostly interior), while other shots are pretty ****ty (CGI skyline!). The writing of the characters is actually pretty great, in fact probably the highlight of the movie. The main characters consist of Jensen (a young, amateur magician working at the hotel/casino they barricade themselves in), Tom (mister main man, a card dealer with a ****ty drinking problem and a genuinely interesting backstory), Tori (a b---hy casino waitress with probably the most interesting development), and Victor (an opportunistic asswipe whom may or may not actually feel sympthy for the others). While most of the beginning and middle of the film is pretty decent, it kinda goes downhill near the middle and end. It all kinda starts with the introduction of new characters, while a promising plot device and driver only really convolutes the main storyline with another unnecessary, contrived, and boring one (even worse it becomes the main drive towards the end!!!). Once the film killed off some, and in some cases antagonized, the most interesting characters in favor of others (for new storyline drive?), it kind of veers off course. Though, the antagonizing of one of the characters is actually pretty cool to watch, even more development. The final scenes are probably the ****tiest, though the end was pretty funny in a slapstick way. edit: there's also a bit of homoerotic s-xual tension thrown in there. Oddly, it works really well. 3 points in and ready for more
Robotboy 1,700
The Hobbit 9.5/10 omfg i just love lotr. it was so cute and funny and epic at the same time, but i dont get why they split one book in 3 parts, 2 would have been enough since the movies are always like 3 hrs long. ^^ Remember that you are unique. Like everyone else.

Mills 446
Film: The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey (2012) Starring Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage Rating: 9/10 Another visual spectacular from Peter Jackson comes the highly anticipated prequel to the hugely successful Lord of the Rings trilogy movie franchise. Filled with adventure, a touch of humour, and a thrilling journey of self-discovery, this first of the three-part film adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit lived up to its hype. The acting was superbly done as well, highlighted by the thirteen dwarves and the main protagonist, Bilbo Baggins, you'd surely want to be part of an adventure. Overall, it's a great film to watch with your family and friends again and again. If you're an avid fan of the Middle-earth and its wonderful creatures, it's surely a must-see!
