Well, at least online they are saying Germans are trying to take their country back lmao.

They make me so angry... But it's not like they're taking anything back. They did not win the election. They came in third and were not so far ahead of 4-6 so, we shall stop giving them nr. 1 attention, i think.

The "Berliner Runde" was really entertaining...

Merkel was not amused. Schulz was fuming. Lindner was arrogant. And the Nazi was lying - as always...

I'm actually starting to get paranoid on which people that I surround myself with are AfD supporters and just don't open their mouths.

I do the same for practically every right-leaning party here :laughga: once even turned down a guy on Grindr because I saw on his insta he voted for the far-right :laughga:

I was talking with my International Relations professor about this and he was saying how warming Turkey-Russia relations were undoubtedly causing the escalating rhetoric between Germany and Turkey.

Also note the eroding alliance between US and Turkey in the last decade or so.

Russia is playing everyone lmao.

Yes but I think he meant it in a different way. Turkey always relies on neighbours that are hostile to eachother. So warming relations with Russia means they can cool down relations with the EU and vice versa. The worsening relation between Turkey and the EU is undoubtedly due to his efforts to stay in power in an overly nationalistic country split about evenly against and for him and because he knows by now Turkey won't join the EU in the near future.

On a serious note, that kind of party just gains vote from ignorant people.

I'm not trying to get rude or anything, but it's literally from people not educated in politics or anything and who believes everything they hear. It's a logical progression of the lack of interest of the youth in politic. And unfortunately this lack of interest is caused by the previous governments we've all had.

I would simply say that those are people tired of their current situation.

I've family living in Germany. They dont work, they have a govt paid flat. And they receive govt money every month to live in a very good shape.

In the meanwhile there are a lot of Germans working to pay for all that. Its normal that "Extreme political parties" (they arent even extreme) are starting to rise. And is dumb to not expect it.

Simply because they don't think the same as u think they are not educated? How can the current politic be interesting if its always the same?

I must say im happy with those results. Maybe the "elites" will finally notice that something is Wrong in Europe.

The final results are in.

:noparty:

I heard that there are IT errors in Berlin though that are delaying the results there.
